A barricaded suspect turned on a police K-9 during a South Bay takedown, biting and ripping off part of his ear, according to Redondo Beach police. K-9 Wouter was sent into a Redondo Beach home to help officers take the suspect into custody during a standoff earlier this week. The encounter left the Dutch Shepherd injured and in need of veterinary treatment.
