The Valkyries just became the fastest franchise in North American sports history to win a championship, as they defeated the Atlanta Dream 68-63 in Game 7 of the WNBA Finals. Valkyries guard Gabby Williams finished the game with 30 points, 27 of which came in the second half. This was the most points a player has ever scored in a single half in WNBA postseason history and was what ultimately led to her winning the WNBA Finals MVP.
