President Trump renewed his criticism Saturday of the Norwegian Nobel Committee for passing him over for the long-sought Nobel Peace Prize. In a Truth Social post, Trump claimed he had “settled 8 Wars” and was close to “settling, or win[ning], two more” — arguing that his record made him more deserving of the honor than this year’s recipient, South African jurist Navi Pillay. Trump cited a range of achievements he said should have earned him the prize, including his administration’s operation to capture Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, efforts to secure the return of Israeli hostages held by Hamas and US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
