Mayor Zohran Mamdani tried again to pitch his texting buddy President Trump on an affordable housing project in Queens during a chummy summit between the political odd couple at Grace Mansion on Monday. But the fresh-faced socialist left the meeting without closing the deal to lock up federal funding for the the pie-in-the-sky Sunnyside Yards redevelopment. The project, which was stalled for decades before it was revived by Mamdani earlier this year, was a main topic of conversation between the two as they continued their budding bro-mance.
