Terry Strada, widow of 9/11 victim Tom Strada, shook up the ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks Friday by making a ringing denunciation of Saudi Arabia, the home nation of 15 of the 19 Al Qaeda hijackers who caused America’s darkest day. Strada, whose husband was one of 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees killed shortly after hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 slammed into the North Tower, asked aloud after reading Tom’s name: “How can it be 25 years and still we have no justice for the role that Saudi Arabia played in your murder?” Strada, the national chair of 9/11 Families United for Justice, argued that the US partner “fomented a rancid culture of anti-American terrorism around the globe and then sent its agents to support radical Islamist hijackers so they could attack you and all of our loved ones. ” Terry Strada speaks at the 9/11 Memorial on Friday.
