The US Mint is commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a new half-dollar coin, The Post has learned. The Semiquincentennial Enduring Liberty Half Dollar was announced Thursday, a day before the milestone anniversary. “As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, we honor the memory of those we lost and the courage of those who risked their lives to save their fellow Americans,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement.
