The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is reviewing Bill Simmons’ recent confession to using his daughter’s boyfriend to proxy bet on his FanDuel account. “The Commission is aware of the comments made on the Bill Simmons Podcast and staff are currently reviewing the matter,” MGC spokesman Thomas Mills told Front Office Sports. While discussing AFC win total bets on his eponymous podcast Monday, Simmons, the founder of The Ringer and a former ESPN columnist, reluctantly shared that he asked his daughter’s boyfriend, Hank, to sign into his FanDuel account in Massachusetts — a legal sports betting state — while he was in California, where it is illegal.
