An afternoon that began with the revelation that Giancarlo Stanton had suffered a third calf strain of the year later transitioned to further bleakness, Ryan Weathers leaving the game with a trainer in the fourth inning. Weathers threw a second-pitch sweeper to Toronto’s Myles Straw and immediately betrayed that something was wrong.
