WASHINGTON — Usha Vance is the quiet force who built JD Vance into the vice president he is today, according to a new profile of the second lady. A 5,500-word profile in Vanity Fair cast Vance, 40, as a sophisticated lawyer and mother of four who has been JD’s “spirit guide to elite institutional life” since the pair met 16 years ago at Yale Law School. Usha “saw tremendous potential in JD,” a law school classmate told the magazine.
