They got the last laugh. Mayor Zohran Mamdani was battered by boos before he quickly exited the stage in Staten Island Tuesday night at one of the Big Apple’s pro-police celebrations. A smiling Hizzoner was forced to offer up some abbreviated remarks at the Midland Beach boardwalk for the NYPD’s 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime where some 3,500 residents and families had gathered to celebrate, the Staten Island Advance reported.
