Star first baseman Freddie Freeman exited the series finale in the fifth inning of the team’s eventual 7-6 defeat, after getting hit on the right hand by a 90 mph fastball while fouling off a pitch up and out of the strike zone. “That’s what I get,” Freeman quipped afterward, “for swinging at a ball at my face.
