A mega outdoor “adventure store” is coming to Southern California when Bass Pro Shops opens a store in La Mesa, the first one ever in San Diego county. The popular outdoor retailer announced on Wednesday plans to construct a massive 148,000-square-foot store at the Grossmont Center, with an opening date expected in 2028. “It’s exciting to serve the great anglers and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the San Diego region,” Johnny Morris, legendary angler, conservationist, and founder of the company, said in the announcement.
