A bougie cinema chain has sparked outrage after introducing a new ordering policy that means customers can use their cell phones to buy snacks during films – and critics have called on chiefs to “save the sanctuary. ” Alamo Drafthouse made the switch to QR codes earlier this year, but the move has proved controversial, the New York Times reported.   Previously, film fanatics would place their orders on a piece of card and this would be collected by the staffer.
