A major Big Apple tech company yanked nine federal government vehicles from a Greenwich Village parking garage it leases following a raucous anti-ICE protest at the site last week. A rep for Metropolis said it removed the fed-owned vehicles from the garage at 18-20 Morton Street after dozens of activists blocked traffic outside the facility on May 14, chanting, ringing cowbells and holding a massive banner that read, “ICE parks here,” according to a report by Gothamist. “As soon as we were made aware that these nine vehicles had been parked for a short duration, we took immediate action to have them removed,” company spokesperson Elizabeth Levitan told the outlet.
