NYC ambulance hit by gunfire as EMTs help teen shot in the Bronx

Two EMTs were nearly killed helping a teenager who had been shot in the Bronx when their ambulance was struck by gunfire, according to police and fire officials. Police and FDNY EMS responded to a reported shooting at the Butler Houses on Webster Avenue in Claremont and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen around 12:15 a. m.
