Sherman Lewis, ex-Jet who won four Super Bowls as NFL coach, dead at 83

Sherman Lewis, a defensive back and returner for the Jets during their AFL days who had a long career as an NFL assistant coach, died on Friday. He was 83. Lewis’ death was confirmed by Michigan State University, where he was an All-American running back in 1963.
