A career criminal whose scrap with a disgraced Long Island police chief ended the cop’s career tried to get a jailhouse sit-down with Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann — a desperate bid to try to implicate the ex-cop in the grisly murders, The Post has learned. Ex-junkie Christopher Loeb was viciously beaten by former Suffolk County Police Chief Jimmy Burke in 2012 after stealing the cop’s dildo and porn stash, sending the controversial cop to prison — and he said he remains convinced the former chief was somehow involved with Heuermann’s monstrous crimes. “I have reason to believe this is a coverup to protect others,” Loeb said in a statement Sunday.
