San Diego is quietly playing a critical role in President Trump’s “Operation Epic Fury” against Iran. The SoCal city is home to the USS Abraham Lincoln, one of the world’s largest nuclear-powered warships, which deployed to the Middle East in January amid rising tensions with Iran. The USS Lincoln, whose home port is Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, was integral in the offensive role against Iran following Tehran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear weapons program.
