Phillies tell Nick Castellanos not to report to spring training with trade or release looming

Nick Castellanos’ days in Philadelphia appear numbered.   The veteran outfielder remains on the Phillies’ roster, “but there is no locker in the clubhouse for him,” per The Athletic’s Matt Gelb.   The Phillies told the 33-year-old outfielder “not to report to the team’s complex this week,” Gelb added, as they look to get off his contract.
