Marc Gatcomb’s 39-game stint with the Islanders was impressive enough to earn a one-way deal for next season. The Islanders announced a one-year deal with the 25-year-old wing on Sunday after the two sides avoided arbitration one day prior. According to an industry source, the deal came in at $900,000 and was a one-way contract, meaning Gatcomb will get the full salary even if he’s in the AHL.
