Opening statements are expected Monday at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial — where the onetime hip-hop kingpin is charged with forcing women into marathon, drug-fueled sex sessions. A jury of 12 New Yorkers will decide whether the embattled rap mogul, 55, led his Bad Boy Records label as a criminal “racket” that orchestrated and covered up a slew of crimes, including coercing his romantic partners into so-called “freak-offs”— or days-long sex romps with male escorts. Prosecutors and Combs’ lawyers are set to each deliver their first pitch to jurors after a 12-person panel, plus six alternates, is finalized and sworn in Monday morning.
