In January, George Brauchler became the first-ever district attorney for Colorado’s 23rd Judicial District, making it the first time in more than 60 years that Colorado added a new judicial district. He previously served as DA for the 18th Judicial District, where he prosecuted some of the state’s biggest mass shooting cases, including at an Aurora movie theater and Columbine High School.
