The clothes and phone of missing Long Island Democrat Petros Krommidas have been found on a beach close to his car, his family said — as they revealed he likely swam in the sea while training for an upcoming triathlon. Krommidas, who is running for a seat in the Nassau County Legislature, hasn’t been seen since he set off for a training swim last Wednesday night at Long Beach, according to cops and his family. The 29-year-old’s locked car was later found parked by the Allegria Hotel — just off the beach he regularly goes to, his family said in a social media post.
