Texas shopper gets hefty prison sentence for murdering woman who held door for her

A shopper with bad manners in Texas will spend the next 30 years in the slammer for fatally shooting a woman who had accused her of not saying thank you for holding the door. Keona Hampton, 23, was hit with the heavy sentence in the Oct. 7, 2025, murder of Cecilia Simpson after Simpson confronted Hampton for not thanking her for holding the door open at a Dallas Five Below, according to a report by the Dallas Morning News.
