The Jets’ Geno Smith edict that’s key to victory against the Bears

CHICAGO — The formula for Jets success is rather simple: Protect Geno Smith. The path to victory against the 2-1 Bears on Sunday at Soldier Field begins and ends with how well they can protect their quarterback. If the offensive line, which has struggled in the past two games after dominating the Tennessee defensive front in the opener, can keep Smith upright, the 1-2 Jets have a legitimate chance to deliver an upset victory in Chicago.
