Longtime Los Angeles news anchor Dunia Elvir is leaving Telemundo 52 after 25 years. Elvir is stepping away from the newsroom effective immediately to focus on new projects, teasing on her social media she has something new lined up. Elvir, whose LinkedIn profile lists her as a news anchor at Telemundo/NBC and president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, addressed the sudden career change in a post Monday after receiving questions from followers about whether she was okay.
