A mountain lion was spotted on the streets of San Francisco, triggering a quick response from Animal Care & Control Saturday night. The apex predator was hiding in a tree near Fell and Baker Streets when the city’s animal control officers arrived at the scene Saturday in Panhandle near Golden Gate Park. A person walking a dog had first noticed the lion climbing up a tree with dense foliage, making it easier for the animal to hide among the leaves, prompting San Francisco Animal Care & Control to issue its first alert around 9:10 pm on Sept.
