A mystery cat covered in red dye has been spotted wandering around a Texas city — but officials are urging the public not to help the feline despite their concern. Rescuers are desperately trying to capture the gray cat covered in matted red splotches after she was spotted lurking in the League City area, League City Animal Care announced last week. Residents should not attempt to catch or put out food for the “red friend,” as additional attempts to approach her can hinder their trapping efforts, authorities said.
