Thrillseekers at a popular New Jersey amusement park screamed in terror as they were left dangling upside down after a ride broke down mid-cycle. Riders were stuck in the air for five to seven minutes when the Wipe Out ride at Playland’s Castaway Cove at the Ocean City Boardwalk malfunctioned on July 5, Storyful revealed on Wednesday. “Get me down,” one rider yelped in a video of the terrifying moment, which has since gone viral.
