President Trump moved hell and high water to ensure Long Islander opera star Christopher Macchio got his moment to shine in storm-battered DC for the nation’s 250th birthday, the touted tenor told The Post. Macchio, known as “America’s Tenor,” was set to perform on the National Mall on July 4 after nearly two hours of torrential rain and wind had already nixed planned performances from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gene Simmons and CeeLo Green.
