Tech titans fleeing California’s proposed billionaire’s tax, including Google co-founder Sergey Brin, SpaceX investor Steve Jurvetson and Unconventional AI founder Naveen Rao, have also taken up residence in Incline Village on the Nevada shore. But the picturesque region is also grappling with what experts refer to as the “paradise paradox”; a troubling trend in which resort communities experience high suicide rates because they don’t have the required mental health resources needed to respond.
