The forward and the rest of his Hurricanes teammates were celebrating their Stanley Cup championship during the team’s parade on Saturday when the NHL veteran attended to a pressing matter. The 35-year-old, who joined the team in March via trade, was a free agent following the team’s impressive run — but that’s no longer the case.
