‘Country Roads’ takes over USMNT victory over Australia

Just after the USA’s 2-0 victory over Australia on Thursday afternoon, Seattle Stadium erupted into song. When the game ended, “Country Roads” by John Denver blasted off the speakers in Seattle, and the crowd followed along. As the song began playing, to a sold out crowd of 66,925 people, mixed between fans of the USA and Australia, the crowd voices overtook the Seattle speakers as fans from both sides united and their voices echoed across the stadium, sending chills down the spines of everyone in attendance.
