Manny Fernandez, one of the key cogs on the Dolphins’ famed “No-Name Defense” that helped lead the franchise to back-to-back Super Bowl wins in the 1970s, has died, the team announced Tuesday morning. He was 79, and a cause of death is unknown. An undrafted free agent out of Utah in 1968, Fernandez quickly established himself as a starting defensive lineman and racked up 35 sacks during his eight NFL seasons, all with Miami.
