Brandon Nimmo (. 784 OPS, higher than every qualified Met) became convinced to accept the trade to Texas only after a brief conversation with Mets baseball president David Stearns. Nimmo said it reminded him of talking to a car dealer, only the dealer was selling him on walking away.
