Without an incentive to win, LIV Golf only set itself up to lose

If it’s true — and there’s little reason to believe it isn’t, based on the increasing noise and recent credible reports — LIV Golf is dead. Sure, LIV Golf, which this week already “postponed” its upcoming event in New Orleans to a fall date, might stage more tournaments before the doors are officially shuttered. But the Saudi-backed rival tour to the PGA Tour is about to be Saudi-backed no longer, according to a Wednesday report in The Wall Street Journal.
