Chiefs defensive backs coach Dave Merritt was arrested just hours before the start of the NFL draft, according to authorities in Kansas. Johnson County jail records show Merritt was booked on Wednesday on one charge of domestic battery. Dave Merritt was on Jets, Giants and Cardinals staffs before he joined Andy Reid in Kansas City in 2019.
