The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing, which rises about the lanes of the 101 Freeway in the Los Angeles County mountainside suburb of Agoura Hills, was pitched as a once-in-a-generation conservation fix. A lush, living bridge designed to reconnect wildlife cut off by freeways and sprawl.
