Jets take flier on defensive lineman Jowon Briggs in trade with Browns

The Jets are shoring up their defensive line depth. Gang Green acquired defensive tackle Jowon Briggs and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Browns on Wednesday in exchange for a 2026 sixth-rounder. He’ll likely be in competition for one of the final roster spots behind likes of Jermaine Johnson, Quinnen Williams and Byron Cowart.
