Footage mocking New York City’s subway system has gone viral on TikTok — with a slew of social media clips ridiculing US infrastructure in comparison to China. One video, shared by user Schbachlq on the Chinese-owned social platform, blasted out footage of water cascading from the ceiling of Brooklyn’s Jefferson Street station, as well as burst pipes at Manhattan’s 34th Street stop. Scores of rats, meanwhile, could be seen hauling food and trash as they scurried around underground.
