A Michigan dad targeted in an Instagram prankster’s cruel trick has paused the fundraiser launched on his behalf after strangers rallied to raise nearly $785,000. Walt Zerod, a father of four who delivers frozen pizzas for Red Baron, announced the decision to shutter the viral crowdfunding page Thursday, thanking the thousands who helped his family while urging those to support other causes this holiday season. “Your kind words have meant the world to my family and I this past week,” Zerod wrote in an update on the GoFundMe page.
