Getty Images Anthropic is preparing to set aside 5% of its shares for a new fund aimed at addressing the social and economic consequences of artificial intelligence, including job losses and the challenges workers may face as the technology becomes more widely used. The company said on Sunday that the proposed Public Benefit Fund would be subject to shareholder approval, with its board authorized to increase the allocation by another 2 percentage points for every 50% rise in Anthropic's valuation above an undisclosed baseline.
