Cornell University on Tuesday announced that all frat parties are banned for the rest of the academic year as part of sweeping changes to address the reported gang rape of a drunken and drugged-up student. Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff announced the crackdown along with a series of other safety changes as he conceded the Ivy League school “must do better” to achieve “meaningful and lasting change at Cornell. “I am deeply sorry for the harm Jane Doe suffered in 2024, and appalled that this act of sexual violence occurred within our Cornell community,” Kotlikoff said in a statement.
