Presumptive lefty New York congresswoman Darializa Avila-Chevalier condemned the NYPD and accused cops of protecting a “militia” of immigration enforcement officials after a federal agent shot a suspected migrant gang member in The Bronx. The soon-to-be DSA House member posted a nearly 400-word screed on social media Friday attacking the police for conducting crowd control and clearing a path for ICE officers following the Marble Hill incident. “When I was in Marble Hill last night I saw NYPD officers rapidly escalating violence,” claimed the NY-13 House candidate, who was endorsed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
