If the Yankees listened to public opinion, manager Aaron Boone would have been fired between Games 2 and 3 of the division series. Of course, radio callers and their ilk have no power, nor should they. The decision regarding Boone is entirely up to owner Hal Steinbrenner, who loves Boone and is super loyal to him (and most everybody else).
