Marcus Davenport played 12 snaps against the Jets on Sunday and a day later he’s out of a job. The Bears released the defensive end from the practice squad at his own behest, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, opting to retire at the age of 30. “After logging 12 snaps on defense against the Jets, Bears DT Marcus Davenport has been released from the practice squad, a move that was done at the player’s request,” Cronin wrote on X.
