Another hurricane has exploded in the Pacific Ocean days after Hurricane Polo wreaked havoc across Mexico and Southern California. Hurricane Nolo strengthened into a Cat-3 monster overnight and is projected to strengthen over the next 24–36 hours, peaking around Oct 5–6 as a Cat-4 storm with sustained winds reaching 132 mph and gusts up to 161 mph, according to Sunday morning advisory by the National Hurricane Center. It is moving west across the Pacific, crossing the International Date Line into the Western Pacific over the next 12 hours, well away from the main Hawaiian Islands.
