A miserable Game 1 of the wild-card series for the Red Sox was even worse upon closer inspection. Not only were the Red Sox 9-0 losers in the first game of the best-of-three in The Bronx, but they also lost Roman Anthony for the series — and longer if they do advance — after he sustained “additional damage” to muscles in his right wrist, Red Sox manager Chad Tracy said. The Red Sox had submitted paperwork to MLB to enable them to remove Anthony from the roster and fill his spot.
