The powerful nor’easter that pummeled New York over the weekend may have caused havoc — but it also brought some heartwarming news. Hungry Big Apple residents were given an incredible gift when tons of food that was supposed to cater the star-studded Global Citizen Festival in Central Park on Saturday was donated to God’s Love We Deliver, a charity that helps feed critically ill New Yorkers. The annual fundraising concert — which was supposed to be hosted by actor Hugh Jackman and feature performances by acts including Lenny Kravitz, Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean — was canned after being on a collision course with the storm.
