Former Twins president Derek Falvey is a nice addition for the Mets front office. Even more “new voices” are promised, so hopefully that’s the case. The Mets are too heavy on the analytics side with scores of number crunchers and only about four MLB scouts after veteran scout Roy Smith (the former MLB pitcher who played on juggernaut Mount Vernon High hoops teams with Scooter and Rodney McCray) wasn’t renewed, via sources.
